Erick Seelbach

Director of Prevention, Education, and Public Policy

Erick Seelbach started working for Lifelong AIDS Alliance (then Northwest AIDS Foundation) in the Men’s Outreach Program in 2000, after graduating with a Master in Teaching from The Evergreen State College. After managing the prevention department for four years, he was promoted to the position of Director of Prevention & Education in 2007. He was active with the Community Advisory Board of the HIV Vaccine and Prevention Trials Units from 2001 to 2008 (and represented the Seattle Prevention Trials site on both the Americas Regional Working Group and the international Community Working Group of the HIV Prevention Trials Network), was on the Organizing Collective for the National Gay Men’s Health Summit in 2005, and received a Price Fellowship in HIV Prevention in 2005, during which he spent a month at the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) working on a project related to integrating crystal meth and HIV prevention. Since late 2004, he has been working with a team convened by the Washington State Department of Health to develop, pilot, and implement a statewide HIV Prevention Essentials Training. Erick participated in the 2005-2006 cohort of the Northwest Public Health Leadership Institute and the 2007 CDC/ASPH Institute for HIV Prevention Leadership.
