The Lifelong AIDS Alliance Annual Benefit Breakfast is a community event that provides an opportunity for donors, corporations and political leaders to join together and make a charitable difference in the lives of those affected by and living with HIV and AIDS.
Register for the Benefit BreakfastLifelong AIDS Alliance announced that the organization will grant $5,000 to the Greater Seattle Business Association’s (GSBA) Scholarship Fund, which has awarded more than $550,000 to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and allied (LGBTA) students since 1990. The donation is a tribute to the GSBA’s involvement in last September’s 20th Anniversary AIDS Walk, in which 30 member businesses raised $150,000 towards the event’s overall revenue of $815,000.
“We were thrilled that the GSBA really came together in support of people living with HIV/AIDS during the last AIDS Walk,” said Tina Podlodowski, executive director of Lifelong AIDS Alliance. “We want to support the GSBA as much as they have supported us, so we are proud to make this donation to their outstanding scholarship fund.”
Lifelong has been a non-profit member of the GSBA for many years and is a previous recipient of their Non-Profit of the Year award. In addition, Lifelong honored the GSBA in 2005 with their Outstanding Business and Philanthropic Award.
“We are so proud of our partnership with Lifelong AIDS Alliance," GSBA Executive Director Louise Chernin said. “What a great opportunity for our members to volunteer their time and resources to support two organizations at one time. When you work together, more is more for everybody.”
