THE CITY OF SEATTLE AWARDS $162,360 FOR HOME MEAL DELIVERIES TO LIFELONG AIDS ALLIANCE’S FOOD PROGRAM, CHICKEN SOUP BRIGADE (CSB)
Seattle, Washington – Great news for many of CSB’s homebound clients on waiting lists to receive home-delivered meals and groceries: the wait is almost over. Thanks to $162,360 in new funding from the City, many of the individuals on the wait list will soon begin receiving services. When the new funding begins in July, CSB will be able to deliver more meals and groceries to more homebound Seattle clients.
Patrick Schultz, Director of Nutrition Services explains, “We are so grateful to have the City’s support of our program and anxious to start providing meals to our clients in need who have been waiting patiently.” He adds, “with the additional funds from the City, the program will be able to reach many more people then ever before.”
Lifelong AIDS Alliance is committed to preventing the spread of HIV and to providing practical support services and advocating for those whose lives are affected by HIV and AIDS. Lifelong is a 501(c)(3)non-profit organization.
