Lifelong AIDS Alliance announces the promotion of Patrick Schultz to Director of Nutrition Services

Seattle, Wash.—January 19, 2007—Lifelong AIDS Alliance, the largest HIV/AIDS service organization in the Pacific Northwest, announced that Patrick Schultz, previously Lifelong’s Corporate and Foundations Manager, has been promoted to the position of Director of Nutrition Services for Chicken Soup Brigade, Lifelong’s food program. Chicken Soup Brigade utilizes meals, groceries and medical nutrition therapy to improve the nutritional health and self-sufficiency of people living with HIV/AIDS and other life-challenging illnesses in Seattle/King County.

Schultz joined Lifelong AIDS Alliance in 1998, working as a chef in Chicken Soup Brigade’s kitchen. In 2004, he transitioned to the position of Corporate and Foundations Manager, where he successfully grew the agency’s grants budget by 50%. Among his accomplishments in this position was securing a $500,000 grant from the MAC AIDS Fund to expand Lifelong’s food program to serve immigrants and people of color living with HIV/AIDS. As Director of Nutrition Services, Schultz will oversee the implementation of this expansion.

“We conducted a nationwide search and found that the best candidate for this position was right here at Lifelong,” said Tina Podlodowski, Executive Director of Lifelong AIDS Alliance. “Patrick has done an outstanding job in both the nutrition services and grants departments at Lifelong. I am excited to see him move back into the kitchen and expand our efforts to provide medical nutritional therapy to people throughout King County.”

With this promotion, Schultz joins the Directors team of Podlodowski, Executive Director; J. Cory Curtis, Director of Marketing and Development; Katherine Kizer, Director of Finance and Administration; David Richart, Director of Programs; and Laura Treadway, Director of Insurance Services.
