STEP Client Information

 STEP Program

  • Has your doctor recommended you start HIV medications? Do you have questions about that?
  • Have you ever missed a dose of medication because you simply forgot?
  • Have you missed a dose in the past three days? The past week?
  • Have you skipped a dose because your medications make you sick?
  • Have you ever forgotten if you have taken your meds?
  • Have you ever been partying and then forgot to take your meds when you got home?

If the answer to any of these questions is YES, we can help. Contact us at step@llaa.org or (206) 957-1629.

Getting Started

We will ask you to complete a questionnaire that will assess your schedule and habits. The treatment adherence coordinator will then help you create a plan to overcome barriers that you have identified. Using your take-home workbook, your coordinator will help you put together a schedule that works for your life. Your workbook will include adherence tips, side effects management guidance, and helpful websites.

Our treatment adherence coordinator will consult with you in person or by phone as many times as you need.
