Every 9 1/2 minutes, another person in the United States becomes infected with HIV. This resulted in over 56,000 new HIV infections in this country in 2006 alone. Now is the time for you to Act Against AIDS.

  • April-July: Unicorn Booty is donating 10% of proceeds to Lifelong AIDS Alliance. Unicorn Booty is a daily contest site for LGBT family and friends. Each day one lucky person will win an awesome prize from a gay-friendly company. Check them out at www.unicornbooty.com and learn more about the gold they have waiting at the end of your rainbow!   • August 20- September 25: Chef Ricky Flickenger will donate a portion of the proceeds from his Burgeoisie Brunches personal chef/cooking class service and his roving restaurant The French Connection to the Seattle AIDS Walk & 5K Run.   • Thursday, September 2: Kurrent (600 E. Pine St in Capitol Hill) will host the "Toast to Hope, Cheers to Life" Happy Hour benefitting Lifelong AIDS Alliance. The event goes from 4:30-6:30pm and will feature a live band, drag performances and an auction. Special thanks to Salon Armond for their help sponsoring the event.
  • Wednesday, September 8: Bad Monkey Bistro will be benefiting Lifelong AIDS Alliance as part of Seattle Weekly's Happy Hour for Hope.

Continuing Community Events

  • Save a Bag and Donate 5-cents to Lifelong AIDS Alliance when you shop at Crossroads Trading Company in the University District. Bring your own shopping bag or opt-out of taking one of theirs, and they will donate 5-cents to Lifelong for each bag saved. Thank you!
